The Science System of the SEK International University, includes in its organizational structure, the Department of Research and Innovation (DRI) as the governing body of the processes of research and scientific production.
The Research Director is in charge of an Executive Assistant to the Department, the Research Programs that cover the macro areas of knowledge, its Heads of Program, who in turn manage the processes of the Research Groups and their researchers. Likewise, the DRI manages the editorial processes through the Coordinator of the Editorial Committee, the Amazon Scientific Station and its Coordinator, as well as the Commission for Doctoral Research Scholarships for University teachers. The DRI´ Scientific Committee is made up of the Program Heads, and the Coordinators of the Editorial Committee and Scientific Station.

El Sistema de Ciencia de la Universidad Internacional SEK, comprende en su estructura organizacional, la Dirección de Investigación e Innovación (DII) como ente rector de los procesos de investigación y producción científica.
El Director de Investigación tiene a su cargo una Asistente Ejecutiva de la Dirección, los Programas de Investigación que abarcan las áreas macro de conocimiento, sus Jefes de Programa, que gestionan a su vez los procesos de los Grupos de Investigación y a sus investigadores. Igualmente, la DII gestiona los procesos editoriales mediante el Coordinador(a) del Comité Editorial, La Estación Científica Amazónica y su Coordinador, así como la Comisión de Becas Doctorales de investigación para docentes de la Universidad. El Comité Científico de la DII está conformado por los Jefes de Programa, y los Coordinadores de Comité Editorial y Estación Científica.
